PawCurve Privacy Notice

Your pet's records are stored on your phone. We don't sell data, and we never send glucose readings, doses or notes to our analytics or crash reports.

Last updated: 30 October 2026

This notice covers the PawCurve mobile app. It supplements our main privacy policy, and where the two differ for PawCurve, this notice applies.

Who we are

PawCurve is made by Gegobyte Technologies Private Limited, Udaipur, India ("we"). Contact: [email protected].

What PawCurve records and where it is stored

You enter information about your pet: name, species, breed, sex, birth date, weight, photo, diagnosis date, other conditions, insulin type and doses, glucose readings, meals, water intake, urine test results, symptoms, vet visits, notes, questions for your vet, and your vet's and emergency clinic's contact details. You may also enter your own first name as the person who gave a dose.

This information is stored only on your phone, in the app's private storage. We do not receive it. PawCurve has no account or sign-in, and does not upload your pet's records to any server. Photos you add are copied into the app's private storage.

Health information about your pet

PawCurve's records are about animals, not people. We still treat them as sensitive: we never sell them, never use them for advertising, and never include glucose values, doses, symptoms or notes in analytics or crash reports.

Reports and backups you share

When you create a vet report (PDF), a CSV export or a backup file, it is created on your phone and you choose where to send it. Backup files are encrypted with a passphrase you choose. We cannot recover a lost passphrase.

Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Google Play. We never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to check whether you have PawCurve Pro. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, your purchase history for PawCurve, your device type and country, and, to understand which features matter, your pet's species, number of pets, insulin brand and preferred glucose unit. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Analytics and crash reports

We use PostHog to understand how the app is used, for example which screens are opened and how long logging takes. Events are linked to a random identifier, not your name or email, and carry the app version, platform, whether you have Pro and days since install. They never contain your pet's health records or notes. See PostHog's privacy policy.

We use Sentry to receive crash reports, which contain technical details about the error and your device (model, operating system version and app version). Screenshots and personal data are disabled. See Sentry's privacy policy.

You can turn off analytics and crash reports at any time in PawCurve under Settings → Privacy and security.

Notifications and permissions

PawCurve asks for permission to show notifications and to schedule exact alarms so dose reminders arrive on time. Reminders are scheduled on your phone and work offline. If you add a photo, the app asks for camera or photo access for that photo only. If you turn on app lock, your fingerprint or screen lock is checked by your phone; PawCurve never receives it.

How long we keep data

Records stay on your phone until you delete them. Deleted entries move to Recently deleted and are permanently removed after 30 days. Uninstalling the app removes all data stored by it. Analytics events and crash reports are kept by PostHog and Sentry for a limited period under their retention settings, then deleted.

Your choices and rights

You can view, edit, export and delete your records in the app at any time (Settings → Delete all data). If you live in the UK, EU or EEA you have rights under the GDPR to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of personal data we hold, and to complain to your data protection authority. Because pet records stay on your phone, we usually hold no personal data about you beyond what the vendors above process. To exercise a right, email [email protected].

Children

PawCurve is intended for adults caring for a pet. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Not veterinary advice

PawCurve records information and does not diagnose, treat or recommend insulin doses. Always follow your vet's advice.

Changes

We will update this page and the "Last updated" date when this notice changes. Significant changes are also announced in the app.
